lehenga/saree for prom? which one do you like?

hey. this might be kinda early but i've got a whole summer to think about my prom so i thought i'd ask. i want something different for my prom dress and i'm asian. i just wanted to know if it was a good idea to wear one to a prom. i checked out a lot of american style dresses but weren't modest enough for my culture or the ones i liked were sky high.. so the idea of wearing a lehenga style saree crawled came to my brain after a while. if anyone's had any experiences with wearing one to their prom, then please tell! i know a lot of them are a little cheaper than prom dresses soo yeah. here's a few i liked... i wouldn't mind you sharing which one you prefer

I liked the first and last one.
No offence, but the ones you've chosen are a bit dated.

It means they look old fashioned, something people would have worn an ambiguous length of time ago

The colours are really nice but I think they are too overdecorated with heavy embroidery and **** on the bottom.

Something similar to this is nice:

I choose this one too. I agree also that her original selection look like dresses you'd see in them old indian movies from the 80's. Dresses are currently way different 2011.

depends on the way you wear them.. i'd be covering myself pretty much. and also, the website lets you customize how you want the blouse and stuff to look

In all honesty the ones OP listed look very old fashion - I haven't seen anyone wearing clothes like those since the 90s. And they're all overpriced too! On average, I wouldn't even pay £20 for them.

What about these?
Light Green Net Lehenga Style Saree
Black Faux Georgette Lehenga Style Saree with Blouse
Blue Faux Georgette Lehenga Style Saree with Blouse (My personal favourite!)
Blue Faux Georgette Lehenga Style Saree with Blouse
Dynamic Viscose Lehenga Style Saree

Or even this:

i think most of these outifts have too much patterns for a prom..
why not go for something plainer? too over done is more wedding-y isnt it?

I think the first and third one is good, the rest are too plain or look cheap for a prom. I don't really like the colours in the third one though.

I think this one is perfect for a prom. Enough detail yet not too overbearing.

edit : oh and the Dynamic Viscose one is nice.
