I bought 2 maths books today :awesome:

The Music of the Primes and Taming the Infinite.

Already got Fermat's Last Theorem, Chaos and GEB, as well as Search for Schrodinger's Cat. I need more quantum physics books, just hope I can continue with that at uni too. :s-smilie:

I've read that along with 5 equations that saved the worlds. Got principia and relativity in my cupboard but its looking increasingly likely i will never read them.

I didn't realise how huge Godel, Escher, Bach was!

Re-reading FLT, it's a great book. I want to get into quantum physics as well but don't really want to go down the joint honours route as I'll miss out on some maths :s-smilie:

Don't worry, now I'm lost. :3

Let's go and sit in the corner and play some Doctor Who Top Trumps (which I actually own).

Quite a big book. It was on the reading list I was given, so I bought it. It's also musicky and arty, but I know nothing about music either.

I don't think I'll be finishing it any time soon, it's really long.
*waits for immature comments about the last bit of that sentence*

I just managed to spell 'soon' as 'sune'...oh dear.

Of course! Mass Doctor Who gathering for some episode-watching and Top Trumps is on the cards, me thinks (pun totally intended).

Now see that would have offended me for the kind of nerd I am :P By which I mean, English language enthusiast.

Thing is, my spelling used to be absolutely amazing. I blame my maths teacher. Whenever he writes 'theorum' on the board, he'll look in my direction to see me glaring, and then hurriedly change it to 'theorem' :awesome:

I've corrected him so many times it's unreal. Absolute legend though.

He went to Exeter too, if I recall correctly. *decides to annoy Mr P with questions about Exeter maths*
