Mathematics and Further Mathematics AS/A Level Revision Books

Hello everyone,

I was just pondering whether anybody could recommend to me some highly regarded Mathematics and Further Mathematics AS/A Level revision booklets. My examining board is “OCR” and I believe what the syllabus consists of is as follows…

Core Mathematics 1 to 4
Further Pure Mathematics 1 to 3
Mechanics 1 to 4
Probability and Statistics 1 to 4
Decision Mathematics 1 to 2

(Please do correct me if this syllabus is incorrect! )

I have done some research and located a series of books by OCR on Amazon labeled as “Cambridge Advanced Level Mathematics” (an example of one of their booklets can be seen below)

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/0521548969/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE

Does anybody have any superior revision booklets to this? Maybe found some problems with them, or can offer any feedback on these booklets before I consider spending any money. Also, any other revision advice would be more than helpful!

Thanks a lot!

Hi
This is not the case for everybody. Some will do all units on the spec whether its for qualifications, understanding or pleasure.
For the OP. The Cambrdige series fits the OCR spec. I personally dont like them but appreciate many do.
There is the longman OCR books which I do like.

For further maths you can get the Cambridge ones. Some of the topics will be covered in the book below

Those Longman books look extraordinary, I've seen some on the shelves at our school, however my teacher seems to be trying to edge me towards the books I quoted on Amazon. Any reason in particular you prefer the Longman books? Thank you for the quick response :-)

I like the layout, clairty, number of exercises and there is little in the way of OTT material which may confuse some students.
I like the size of it and the fact its a few years olf so some of the work in there is just a touch more challenging than the current exams yet not way out there.
There is a CD with it for more challenging work and revision.
