I've been thinking this! I'm going to be so lonely :'(

Nah, there's a whole programme of things going on: a presentation of their curriculum, a tour of the Falmer teaching building and around some of the campus, the interviews and an opportunity to ask the admissions team/current students questions. They wouldn't put all of that on for one person, so I guess that by chance only me from TSR has one up to yet...

You are so lucky to have 2 interviews and your 5th this early!

I guess your awesome a levels help a lot. Where abouts are you from, only asking because bsms and st andrews are about as far away from each other as possible?!

I know! I'm absolutely amazed too, because I got no interviews last year even with these predicted grades. I'm from Mansfield, just north of Nottingham. So I'm basically in the middle of the country and this allows me to realistically apply anywhere... But still, the train and hotels are going to be priiiiiiceeeeey!

What was the second reason? Fierce competition? I wonder how many international applicants they get with their fees!
I just got an interview the email came through this afternoon, for the 12th November too

On the BSMS site: http://www.bsms.ac.uk/about/news/

it says that there is a 15% rise in applications for 2013 entry

this is an obvious typo right?

If you go on to read the article it says:

'BSMS has seen a 15% rise in applications for its undergraduate course for 2012, even though there is an increase in tuition fees to £9,000.

The medical school has received 2500 applications compared with 2170 for 2011. Applicants will be competing for a maximum of 138 places to start the course in September 2012.

Mary Herns, Admissions Tutor said: “None of us really knew what to expect for 2012 entry, given the introduction of increased tuition fees, but we are pleased to see this rise in our application numbers. It is testament to BSMS’s ever-growing reputation as an excellent place to read medicine”.

Applications via UCAS closed on October 15. For more information about the admissions process at BSMS, see our admissions pages.'

Thanks, yep its a typo.
Hey there,

Long time lurker, rarely post. I'm an international student from India who got his degree from U.W.E Bristol. I have applied to the 5 year medical course for BSMS (Leeds, Aberdeen and Keele 5 year courses are my other choices)

I would like to be added to the list.

Degree: 1st Class BSc (Hons) Applied Biological sciences
UKCAT: 637.5
GCSE and A levels : GCSE maths pending, no A levels or other GCSE's did high school in India under a different system.

VR: 610
QR: 690
AR: 630
DA: 610

Still have not gotten an acknowledgement from BSMS (2nd Nov) I am wondering if this bodes poorly for my chances for interview, seeing as the most promising seem to be chosen first.
