Paintball to testicle, action to take?

Had a paintball hit me square in the left testicle 2-3 hours ago. Just got home and checked it out there is a small bruise on the scrotum and my left testicle has swollen to double it's size and has become very very tough.

I am in constant pain, what should I do?

Do I just need to wait it out or is there a risk of further damage?

Any advice appreciated...

LOL I wish but seriously...
Take it to a nurse, I'm sure she'll have a look at it..
I think you should make a thread.

Hopefully an experienced GP or Nurse will come on this thread to give you genuine advice.

Action to take? Well I guess it's a bit late for evasive action.

See a GP.

Man up.

I worked as a paintball marshal and I've seen plenty of guys get shot in sensitive areas and given that we never faced a lawsuit I'm gonna assume none of them ever lost a testicle because of a bit of paint. Next time be more careful...

I think you should go to the doctor - they might be able to give you something to take the swelling down, plus they could check for damage and put your mind at rest. I can't say I've had my balls examined by a doctor, but I'm pretty sure a cervical examination is nearly as bad.

Oh mate, I can feel the pain from here lol.

Take some painkillers/anti-inflammatories to ease any pain and swelling. I think the swelling is normal, it's just the same as suffering trauma to any other part of the body or any other organ, you're bound to experience some swelling/bruising. But just keep an eye on it and if the swelling hasn't reduce in 24hrs perhaps a trip to the gp to make sure nothing is seriously wrong would advisable.

You might even be able to ice the region, just don't apply ice directly to the testicle without something covering the testicle, like a towel of thick cloth.

Btw, i'm not a doctor, this is just my opinion.
