I'm sorry, but there are many, many aspects of the sex industry that deserve to be criticised. One french chap who finds that kind of work "liberating" doesn't change the fact that a considerable proportion of prostitutes in this country are men, women and children who have been trafficked and coerced into sex work.

Not forgetting all the absurd practices associated with commerical pornography, like anal bleaching and enemas - completely obfuscating the reality of what it's like. Or than many prostitutes and pornstars have drug addictions and are using sex work as quick cash.

I'm not against the sex industry per se, but let's not pretend that if the sex industry were properly regulated, and those under financial duress had their situation alleviated, that most people would not chose to remain in prostitution or pornography. Therefore, it suits those running it to keep people dependent on them - via drugs or money. So I'm skeptical that proper regulaton can actually be achieved.

To be honest, why would anyone choose Megan Fox over Johnny Depp regardless of gender or sexuality? He trumps her in all respects.

I think the sex industry definitely distorts the perception of what's normal in sex (for the reasons you listed, the acting, labiaplasty etc.) which doesn't benefit anyone.

And I agree. If the industry was well regulated, fair enough. But it has to be acknowledged that people are trafficked and coerced via drug addiction or extreme poverty into prostitution (and from there potentially porn). For obvious reasons, that doesn't sit right with me and therefore the glamourisation of the industry seems wrong.
