One of our unions gets transformed completely to a secret theme (this year it's rumoured to be Doctor Who...)
Live bands, djs, ceilidh, casino, swing band, string quartet, christmas karaoke, winter wonderland with fake snow, professional photographer and a free breakfast if you make it through to 8am...

Definitely something you have to try. Most Scottish kids get dancing lessons in PE from primary 1 at Christmas specifically to teach ceilidh dances. We have one boy in our school who came to us from an English school and the poor thing got thrown in at the deep end with our class. He hadn't done any of the dances before- we didn't realise that learning them in school wasn't the norm. We started him off nice and gently with a few fast group dances! :colone:

I'll be good tomorrow, I have no desire to get as drunk as I did last time I was out! Urgh. Hurts thinking about it!

Oh yeah, the dances are really easy to pick up and there will always be folk more than willing to help you out. :yep:

We scared the life out of the boy though. I think he thought we'd all gone mad. Poor thing turns up to PE like normal and then the music comes on and everyone throws themself into it- including all the tough boys. Must have been a bit confusing. Good job we didn't turn up in full dress! :biggrin:

The OA? The problem is that I don't think we can be certain of the premises, even though the premises are necessarily true or false. I'd agree with this completely. I would take a coherence as opposed to correspondence point of view but how this goes to God, I'm not sure. Especially, when naturalistic arguments would present an equally plausible argument.

I'm doing my standard grades at the moment (physics, chemistry, biology, german, modern studies and history), Int 2 english and Higher maths. They seem to be going OK at the moment. Just had our prelims and I don't seem to have done too badly! I always panic far more for the prelims than the actual exam for some reson. :rolleyes:

How about you? Are you doing A levels? They sound scary from reading some of the threads on here! :biggrin:

I didn't do GCSEs I went to an international school so I don't know what prelims are haha, but that sounds good.
Yeah well I'm doing my AS level now, to be honest it is scary in a way knowing I have my exams in 5 months time :frown:

and I have to apply to uni's eee :| Hopefully God will get me where I want to go. :smile:

Completely forgot to say this yesterday, but we're doing 33 hours of continuous prayer this weekend - I'm starting a 3 stint at 11, so if you have any prayer requests... :-)

Obviously I'll pray for anything that's already been posted. :-)

mind you showed how important faith is to me. Although annoys me because I think they think that I'll always be around to pick up the pieces and look after them when they're drunk...which I will...but I hate the assumption that I will...

Yeah he probably thought that Scotland was insane! I've already decided I want a big ceilidh for my 21st...my English friends are RATHER concerned :tongue:
