That's ridiculous, if you get an Economics degree from London Metropolitan you simply won't be able to compete with graduates from Oxbridge in terms of the jobs you apply for...

You can work your way up in companies though - one of my uncles did economics at Kent, and ended up a vice president of Lehman Brothers.
