Lse for history or king's for war studies?

I have offers from both of these courses but really not sure which to choose. I am more interested in the war studies course but feel like lse has a much better reputation and employment prospects. Also the war studies offer is a*aa, whereas the lse offer is only aaa and although i'm confident i'll get aaa i'm less sure about getting an a*.
If you're basing it on reputation, KCL's war studies is incredibly well respected, LSE aren't so well known for history. If you're not sure on grades, firm KCL and put something more achievable but somewhere you'd still like to go as your insurance.

LSE is a much better university with a generally better reputation.
However the KCL War Studies is the best of it's kind in the country, and probably Europe.

So depends on what you want to do with your degree after.

This is where you have to make a serious decision about the basis of your decision.

Are you basing your decision on what you would enjoy doing or your future career prospect? Which is more important to you?

If it is future prospect that bothers you the most, then pick LSE.

If it is course type/content that bothers you the most, then pick KCL.

In my opinion, except you plan to be an academic or are fixated/obsessed with a certain specialist career line, future prospects should always carry superior weight.
I'd also bear in mind the student experience, LSE is a very different enviroment to KCL. LSE is incredibly focused, and based on what others have said, often the teaching quality is incredibly poor and the social life isn't the best.


LSE will give you better prospects, but, as many will tell you, after 3 months of work the university you went to starts to not matter a jot. However, LSE is undoubtably better and depending on what you'd like to do could benefit you significantly.

This decision should based on which course you prefer because they are very different
