MEI logarithms HELP ME!!!!

I'm a AS Level student doing MEI maths, i have found most parts of the course pretty straight forward but i missed a lot of school when logarithms and exponentials were covered. i just tried to attempt to MEI Chapter assessment and realised that i'm really struggling with understanding anything to do with logarithms other than the really simply stuff. does anyone know any good ways to learn this stuff?? many thanks.

Do you mind typing out the question? Can't access it from the site.

3^2x=5

Well if you've worked out 2x

log3^2x=log5
2xlog3=log5
2x= log5/log3
x = (log5/log3)/2

yeah i thought that was what i was to do but i wasn't sure whether it was asking me to actually work out the answer as 0.732 or whether i was just to leave it as (log5/log3)/2
