You've got your very own stalker Im not Turkish myself but I've been to Istanbul and its AMAZINGGGG ! had great time while I was at Taksim Sqauare people who live there are just lucky!
and everyone was nice (almost everyone.. urghhh)
would love to meet Turkish students while I am doing my postgrad in UK, honestly I didn't think there were alot of Turkish students in UK.. good to know

Taksim square is amazing

Hubbly Bubbly (Argilla) tastes so amazing in Turkey! and the pipe is so artistic
and I also got amazing waffles from some shop over there in Taksim I can still taste it in my mouth I want one right now
Taksim square is so vivid and alive its truly amazing!
Language was a barrier I'd say.. I couldn't communicate in English. STILL LOVE IT! the food was amazing too & the music as well I'd still go there again and again and again!
