Do transition metal ions (2+ or greater) ever have electrons in the 4s orbital?

I understand that when removing electrons from d-block elements, you remove the 4s one's first. Are there any d-block ions that have electrons in their 4s sub shell?

I don't think so - you have to remove the 4s electrons first, meaning you'll automatically have 4s0 for a 2+ ion.
