Yeah apart from how fiddly the wording on the probability question was. I'm worried we're gonna have stupidly high grade boundaries.

yeh think the grade boundaries are going to be so high! answered everything, but ran out of time and missed out two 2 mark Q's :frown: that will probably be a whole grade! also think when I did 1- on one of the Q's it was wrong. oh well, they can't make the boundaries tooo high!

probablity question aside it was good

on the probability Q, can't remember the exact numbers, but the bit where it was like 100/640 x 110/639 x 120/638

did u have to multiply it by a number after?

I think so but I'm not sure which number.I know that you get at least 2 marks for getting as far as you did. I multiplied by 12 (Bit of a guess really). I think you multiply it by the degrees of freedom by lookin at the past papers, but frankly I have no idea.

think there was 6 combos so it was x6. there were 3 things weren't there? so would've been like
123
132
321
312
231
213

arghh so hope I haven't lost too many easy marks

1a -0.235
2a mode=23
b median=22
c IQR=3
d mean=22.4 standard deviation=6.37
e new mean=23.9
3a 2.27x+4.17
b the same at aproximately 28 degrees centigrade
From here on I can't remember the questions really! So...
0.3031 0.880 0.292 0.89 0.212, 0.629 , 0.953, 0.372, 0.156,0.110, 0.15, 0.492, 0.719, 22, 17.4
confidence interval (5.02,5.08)

Hated the probability question, and forgot to work out points for regression line yA, but other than that, a solid paper. Hopefully will raise my overall grade across this, the C1 and C2 papers.
Anyone get an answer of something like 0.025 for that probability question part c about the toilets and bedrooms?

And how did you work out the new mean of the letters?

Wasn't the new mean 240(or whatever the number was) x old mean (22.4)/175
Came out at 33. something, but other than that i got the same!

I added up all the original letters from royal mail, then added the 280 then divided by the amount of days 175 and got 23.9. but I'm not sure. It could of been everything really.

Yeah I got the same as you for all of these questions, with the mean you had to do like (what ever F(x) was) +280(letters) /125(days) which was like 23.9 but you could have done 280/175=1.6 and do 22.4+1.6= 24(around ish)

The new mean? If so, you had to times your old mean by 175 to find the sum of x. Then just add the new amount of letters and divide by 175.
