Also in question 7, what is the 6x to the power to? It's too fuzzy and I can't read it.

I think you will only lose 1 mark.

you kept the + in there when you should of multiplied. Log(3) + log(2) = log(6)

essentialy the formula was in the form of y=kx^n which is the same as
logy=logk +nlogx
y = c + mx
logk=2
k=100
n=3

so if you simplify logy=logk +nlogx we get .... logy=log(kx^n) ..... get rid of the logs.... y=kx^n ...... therefore y=100x^3




Im not great at explaining maths sorry :tongue:

i dont see how a straight line can be x^3? can some1 explain pls?
yeah i got y=10^3x+2 is that just completely wrong? haha

it wasnt a straight line. the axes were logy and logx which form a straight line.

I lost 5 marks so dw :P

what did people write for question for, y=3fx and y=f4x?
(6,9) and (1.5,3) is what i got, not sure if that's right though

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's that. I just redid the question and I got the same answer as I did in the exam so it must be a half.
