Here's unit 2, June 2011 topic 5: (hitler's germany)
how can you get the highest marks in the 10mark questions (the comparing question)? I always get like 5 which isnt great! Any advice?
In order the reach marks in the range 9-10 your answer must be:
Balanced, a well argued answer linking both aspects of the questuion, focused on the question.
I got an A* in the unit 1 exam: for the 10 mark questions i always had the structure of intro, explanation of aspect 1, explanation of aspect 2, conclusion.
In the intro it is best to outline to the examiner which bullet point is correct in your opinion so they immediately know that you did in fact make a decision between the 2 bullet points, which means you have answered the question, and the examiner rewards you for that. it is also good to have balanced paragraphs for each of the two aspects, however, while having balanced paragraphs you should be always arguing for the aspect you choose in your intro, throughout your essay. Your conclusion should sum up all your points of the 2 main paragraphs, and state again which out of the 2 aspects you chose and WHY?
I have history word notes in proper detail that got me full UMS on both the exams
I did the USA in the 20s, USA in the 30s and Hitler in the 30s i think and some on the Weimar republic although we didn't do this as our GCSE choice but merely as a background
If you want just ask me I can send you them
Can you please inbox me the hitler notes please?
