Work experience help please!

hey i'm currently in year 12 and i am about to start my work experience placement at a primary school next week...
But i have decided i now want to do psychology at uni and most uni's want a related work experience placement and i think that it will benefit me also.
However i dont know how to go about finding a placement? as for the last placements i have had to do it through my school.
Any advice on searching for a placement or any websites that will help me?
i am looking for a placement in Cardiff, Wales

Hi :smile: I have a friend going for a psychology degree and she found that due to legal/ confidentially issues, under 18s are rarely accepted onto placements in psychology. She instead did work experience in a care home that specialised in dementia patients, as she could then use this experience to show her interest/knowledge of the practical application of psychological research on patients.
I suppose it depends on which area of psychology you are most interested in, but maybe an approach such as this would be the best idea.
