19 [started wearing them early last year]

2. What was your prescription then?
-3 . I was surprised to find out how short sighted I was. I'd known for a while that my eyes weren't right but put off getting them tested which probably made them deteriorate pretty badly. I'm the only one in my family who wears glasses so don't think my sight problems are genetic.

3. What is it now?
I had my eyes tested again this year & my prescription is still the same

4. When do you wear your glasses?
All the time.

I was about 10, in one of the school organized eye-tests. I can't remember ever noticing it before then, as only one eye is notably worse so the other just compensates.

I have no idea about the prescription...

I only wear them for prolonged reading, using the computer and occasionally watching TV. Walking around (and eating with them on) makes me feel slightly dizzy.

I'm in your club; got my first pair like two weeks ago (19).

Prescription of -1 in my right eye and -0.75 in the left. Not too bad, so it's only really for the board in lectures and driving. Wore them out just walking around outside the house today for a few hours which was good aswell, though, so I guess that in future, too.

I got glasses when I was about 5, so really young. I have no idea what my prescription is, all I know is that I'm pretty blind.

I love my glasses and can't imagine not wearing them. I guess I'm just lucky that glasses really suit my face. I've got to the stage now where even my family don't recognise me when I'm not wearing them :h:

When I was about eight; I was asked to read something off the blackboard from the back of the class and couldn't because it was blurry. :frown:

-6-ish. Think it's -6.25 in my left eye, and -5.75 in my right. :emo:

Increasingly less frequently, as I have (and infinitely prefer) contact lenses.

when at home alone / going around town alone i wear glasses. when im with friends/need to look better/more formal/gym i wear contacts. my eyes just randomally decide to go dry sometimes and my contacts are adventurous, they like taking trips to the corners of my eyes and (almost) get lost

I found out when I was in like Year 5, I couldn't see something on the board (and said so) so my teacher said "Well go to the opticians then!" But didnt get them till Year Six. I only started wearing them all the time in Year 7 (they were technically reading glasses but then found it was easier to wear them all the time). I have no idea of the prescription (probably quite bad, Im shortsighted) but I do know my left eye is worse than my right. I dont really like the idea of contacts, touching my eyes, and also Ive heard stories where they get lost blah blah blah...

Which makes me rather confused - surely I should have my eyes tested more often than her?

You should only get them tested every year or more often if told so. Mine are tested every year. For the first time in a very long time, I've not needed new glasses.
