You can be a dentist and then proceed to be a Oral Pathologist or a Vet and then go on to be a Veterinary Pathologist

You can, but I want the whole autopsy if I go for it

That didn't put me off  All the training (and somehow having to find funding for the fifth year) is what is putting me off.

Aaah, but it'll be worth it if you did!

But architects don't do the engineering! Engineers do!

Why have architects when you have architectural engineers? :s-smilie: and if you have your B/A grade at GCSE and no AS it seems you take maths classes anyway...

And it's highly desirable not essential

Woooooow! 12 Years!!! Youll be like 30!!!

I thought it was quite commonplace to specialise in something though, I always wanted to be a GP personally. What will you be?
Yes, but, as I've said, I have heard from ARCHITECTURAL STUDENTS  that they generally just have a rudimentary understanding of what can and cannot be done, mostly using rules of thumb

Well it's stupid... I mean what if they designed a building that leans too much  and then they'd have people who have to design it correctly... Which is why I think there should only be architectural engineers... (to be honest I thought architectural engineers were architects so that's the advice I was giving)

It so would!

Computer science vs Pathologist is hard though. Maths, F.Maths, Physics and Computing or Biology, Chemistry, Maths and something else...

There's also a far better chance of getting into Downing at Cambridge if I do Computer Science. Applicants : places is 5:2 in CS, and it's 113:16 in Medicine

 I dont care about the warning points I just didnt want to see this thread closed because then that would be unfair on you lot :colondollar:

I've never actually been to the hospital except for surgery and random stuff when I was quite young, so I never really had any inspirational moments really for many hospital specialities.
My mum's a nurse and she always went on about what the GP did, which kind of got me into the idea.
Hmmm... I can't wait till sixth form... *sigh*

I could try  But I'd have to do all the work experience for Medicine alongside it.

Oh yeah :s-smilie: forgot about that... You could always volunteer in care homes in the holidays and take some revision guides with you  some old people would.enjoy that

Exactly! Grr! Architects shouldn't exist... Architectural Engineers design realistically and carry it out
