Exeter is my most competitive choice so :crossedf:

that said UEA are 3rd best in the country for biological sciences :eek2:

Thank you :h:

The 3rd best? Is this based on uni rankings? If so, what table?

Still a top bio school as well :colone:

It's really lovely, has such a nice community feel as the staff are so enthusiastic :h:
Submitted my Essays 3 WEEKS ago and it's still pending review :frown:

Me too, can't draw a smooth curve to save my life!

Same, I always get my teacher to join the points up for me

 my controlled assessment for Chemistry... :colonhash: tried to plot a smooth curve of best fit... :colondollar:

My Username is really Poisson Distribution :mmm:

I've got a flexible ruler for this very reason. :yep:

How does that help xD bend it on its side?

Ah... I remember those GCSE science graphs, best fit curves :colonhash: I actually lost marks there once because my graph was too ugly!

I'm complete **** at any sort of drawing. I'm one of those guys who's artistic limit is probably stickmen.

My graph drawing has improved since then though. But still terrible when compared to my friends' graphs - such smooth curves! :coma: how do they do it?

I think this will literally be the place I dropped marks, last time I had 46/48 because of that, and my results table (nothing wrong with it, just didnt want to be too generous)

I took art gcse :frown: gonna fail!!

Everyone's curves were complete and utter crap :colondollar:

It's not a standard ruler. It is square. It can bend to fit the line of best fit (for a curve) and then be clamped on the other side. This means I'm left with the arduous task of just running a pencil along the top of it to get a brilliantly smooth curve.

art gcse! :eek2: Why would you do that to yourself?

 I asked if I could do it and not be entered... :colonhash: they said no! Thought it'd be a good free lesson :cry2:

Quick Google search brought this up:

http://www.drawing-boards.co.uk/Drawing-Equipment/Technical-and-Craft/Flexible-Curves/23/~#!/Features/

My ruler isn't like that exactly, as that wouldn't be sufficient in holding the ruler in place - I made my own ruler. But you get the idea from that.
