Cloud Atlas dividing critics in the same way that Tree of Life did. Ebert loved it. It sounds like a film which would be appreciated immensely more a couple of years down the line.

I'm still annoyed it doesn't come out here until the end of February. :unimpressed:
Skyfall was fantastic. you'll be surprised how visually different it is to every other Bond film. And it's got a lot of plot in it. It's just fantastic. Best Bond film ever for me.
Can you guys guess what kind of budget this film has without referring to Google?

Omg I'm so excited about it. Watching it next Friday. Sadly could not find a cinema that doesn't subtitle though. But everyone says it's a great film. Really looking forward to it.

I've heard much acclaim for it. Is it accessible for people who have never watched Star Trek - or only watched the 2008 film? :holmes:

Yeah, you don't have to have seen the original series or the first Star Trek film to understand what is going on and if you have seen the 2008 Star Trek then you'll know all the characters.

If you have a spare 45 minutes and have access to it, then I'd recommend watching 'Space Seed' from series 1 of the Original Series as that is when Khan first appears. WoK happens some time after this episode. It gives a little background to the relationship between Kirk and Khan. But then I saw the film before the episode and enjoyed it.

It's annoying that Skyfall hasn't been released here in the Netherlands just yet. :grumble:

It looks **** so I'd think it's pretty low, but it's in 3D so it must be fairly big, I'd say 50mil.
I'm going to say the budget is between 75 and 100 million. They all have costumes, look at the sets and it's in 3D. Looks absolute ****, but it all costs money.
I'm on a shoestring budget atm but skyfall was worth every ****ing penny.

Skyfall was definitely worth it!
Oh, Skyfall... We haven't got it in the States yet, and listening to everyone go on about it is only building the anticipation.

So looking forward to it! And it comes out two days after my birthday, so...

Star Wars 7. Well, I didn't expect that.
As long as Star Wars 7 isn't written by George Lucas, this is EXCELLENT NEWS.
Just been to see Skyfall. Incredibly good. The best Bond by a mile and possibly the best action film of all time.

I was worried the hype would kill it, but it really is excellent!

The only gripe

I still liked Casino Royale better although Skyfall really does stick to the true nature of the 007 films!
