You the guy who made it?

It's excellent editing, and good choice of music!
We went to see Skyfall today. I'm disappointed to say that I'm not feeling the love. Whilst there was a good set-up, the plot felt too drawn out, Silva was effective as far as Bond villains go but that doesn't say much considering the general quality of Bond villains (and the Joker parallels were clear throughout the film) and the film kept slipping back into the camp feel the previous films had, which Casino Royale so refreshingly cast aside. The cinematography and some of the shots were absolutely gorgeous though. Don't get me wrong, it's a better film than that absolute turd, Quantum of Solace, but it's not a patch on Casino Royale. Fun film but it doesn't quite live up to the hype or previous entries.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who liked Casino Royale better

I think they were trying a bit too hard to make it fit to the original idea of Bond with those crazy cliche villains.

I loved Skyfall! I can see what you mean about the slight reverting back to stereotype with a touch of camp about the thing and one liners flying all over the place, but for someone like me who only ever seemed to watch the Roger Moore movies growing up, it was right up my street.

Thoughts:

Spoiler

Wow! Wreck-It Ralph managed a score of 8.4 on IMDB. I cannot wait to see this when it hits the UK.
Who's excited?

The trailer is amazing. Let's hope the film does the book justice.

Can't believe I've never seen The Nightmare Before Christmas before! Watching it now. :awesome:

It is an absolutely brilliant film. One of my childhood favourites.

It's already on my to watch list.
Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel is on iPlayer. I liked the film, it's a light-hearted romp around time travel.

Some of the people on the list are hilarious. I'd put my money on Tom Hardy though, especially with the rumour Christopher Nolan is interest in directing future Bond films.

A black bond as number 1 bet?

And lol, McGarret as Bond, that is jokes. Tom Hardy seems similar to Craig and I think he is a good actor, but he seems kind of young.
I'd like to see Fassbender as Bond.

I think Daniel Craig's signed on for two more films, so Hardy will be older when the time comes.

With some of the names on the list, I'm surprised not to see Robert Pattinson tbh.

True I didn't think about that, at least 6 years from a new Bond. The time between films most often was 2 years I think. But if funding issues continue it might be 10 years til we see a new one.
I'm watching Elena tonight

Guys in To Rome with Love, what is the music that keeps recurring? The one that is up-beat I guess describes it and all the lyrics I understand is "nananananana". Sounds an awful lot like ABBA tbh.

Here you go: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ix17C4l93Ao. It's an updated version of 'Amada mia, Amore mio di El Pasador'.

I was really disappointed with To Rome with Love after Midnight in Paris.
Going to try and watch Skyfall next weekend with the flat mates I think. Have to still avoid spoilers but already had one biggie through my own fault. :frown:
