Halls of Residence Stereotypes

Hello Lufbra students,

I was having a discussion with a mate recently and we were trying to assign a particular stereotype to each hall of residence. Obviously some are known for being more rowdy or more sporty etc - but we weren't able to think of one for each hall.

I told him I would open it up for discussion on this forum to see if there is any agreement in hall stereotypes.

However ridiculous, comment below and we'll try and see if we do indeed have proper stereotypes or not!

Edit: to make it clearer you might say "Faraday - known for their awful parties"

Thanks

I'l edit the original post to make it clearer in case others make that mistake
The quiet one who stays in their room?
The one who always goes home every weekend.
The one who never goes home or even speaks about home. (they may not even have a home?)
The one who wants to fit in.
The alcoholic.
The druggy.
The idiots who think everything is banter.

The one who steals everyones food.
The one who leaves notes and names their food.

Falk Egg - the chav's.
It's kinda true too, we are generally very rowdy.
Haha this is fun.

Rigg-Rutt is pretty much synonymous with A+F/Jack Wills/Apple Macs etc

Yep, pretty accurate, tbh..
John Phillips = Chinese territory.
Butler Court ''In Butler Court we SHARE rooms''
Elvyn - the posh lot. Lots of Wills, Gilets and that generic jock hairstyle.
Rigg-rut - apparently all the women are good looking. Good at union participation.
DC - full of engineers. Not many women.
Falk-egg - I've heard 'smells of poor people'. 'Dumping ground'. Even my lecturers make fun of falk-egg. Everyone in there knows they're **** and embraces it. Meant to be a good laugh.
Faraday/Royce/Rutherford/Bakewell - haven't heard any stereotypes.
Cayley - sluts!
Telford - a bit outrageous. Hustings are meant to be terrible.
John Phillips - chinese central. Sometimes known as John Phirrip.
Butler Court - sharing is caring.
Towers - a bit like Elvyn.
Bill-Mo - hard to get into. Bit of a partying hall.
The Holt - expensive, terrible hall spirit, quiet
Harry French - prettiest hall, amazing at Action & RAG (I'm a bit biased though)

^This.

From Rigg-Ruts sing-off chant:
"My momma's got no money, my dad is on the dole. They took me to a s**t hall, took me to Falk-Egg hall..."

I'm still yet to meet anyone from the Holt, and I only know where it is 'cos I went past it on the way to view a house... Shame its not going to be a uni hall next year...

Gotta agree that HF is 'pretty', but aren't RiggRut supposedly the best at RAG?
