Does Trinity let the international students stay in the holidays?
My accommodation was in Wolfson Building during the interview. The room was empty, no sign of life there but there was a name on the nameboard next to the door so someone must live there. Did he have to move all his stuff home when he left?

I remember having read sth about the Trinity rooms being cheaper just because of this - you only pay for your room for (I think) 39 weeks - term time, so you are asked to vacate your room during holidays. You are however allowed to leave your stuff in a special storage room and you can pay extra if you want to keep your room during holidays.

Nonetheless, finally sb else who had his room in Wolfson during the interview! The building seemed to be completely empty when I slept there (2nd dec). I was even looking for someone in the evening to ask about the heating (wasn't working in my room and I wanted to check if that was also the case in other rooms) but I couldn't hear a sound of sb else sleeping there, and it wasn't that late. I could hear troller bags in the morning though. The ensuite room was a lovely surprise, although I got really jealous at breakfast when the ones sleeping in Angel Court told me they had a sort of a common room - Wolfson seemed too solitary.

International students normally are allowed to stay. You just need permission from your tutor to stay outside of term time and obviously you will have to pay for the time you use your room. Trinity tend to encourage first years to leave before interviews so that interviewees can use the first year rooms such as the one you stayed in. If you move out at the end of the term you must clear out your room. As an international student you will be allowed to store your stuff in overseas storage though

Haha a lot further than me then! We might see each other on the Monday afternoon but good luck if I don't! I know one of my interviewers specialises in middle eastern politics so I'm desperately trying to keep on top of it :l

Hey how was it? of course I was asked which my opinion on the current middle eastern issues was... Be careful what you fear because you just might get it :frown:

I slept there on 4th Dec. and saw only one other student. I missed the social rooms too but I spent some time in the JCR in Great Court. There were also only a few students.
The heating was working but the fresh air intake was stronger so my room had become cold by the morning. That intake was incredibly noisy too. At firs time I thought the noise came from the traffic but then I discovered that intake behind a shelf.

I stayed at Trinity on 2nd of December too. My room was in the Angel Court though which is much more old-fashioned than Wolfson. I think it dates back in the 50's and it even has installed sinks in the closet of each room.

The rooms are absolutely amazing (and cheap) and they are on the website; I was pooled by Trinity for Mathematics, I'll hopefully get in somewhere else though...

I was in Wolfson too! My room was massive  I think it would be class for first year but after that I'd want to live somewhere old.

Is anyone else still expecting a phonecall from admissions saying lol jk you can't come here don't be silly!

Hey guys, I got an offer of 3 A*s for Natural Sciences at Trinity. I went for interview on the 5th, and was in the JCR for most of the morning. I don't think anyone who I met there posts on TSR though.
