How tall are you compared with your parents?

Seen a lot of height threads recently so I decided to ask this. I'd like to see how much of a difference your parents' heights make to your height.

(Male)
Me - 5'11 ; Dad - 5'10 ; Mum - 5'4

Don't know measurements but i'm arounf 6'2ish
Much taller than my mum, reckon my dad is around 5'10 at a guess
And my sister's really short

Me 5'9.5". Dad 5'7", mum 5'.5".


Somewhat frustratingly, though: sister 5'8", brother 5'11"

Dad: 5ft 11 Mom: 5 ft 7 Me: 5ft 11 Sister: 5ft 4
I'm a woman

Dad: 5ft 10/11ish

Mum: 4ft 11

Now I'm not a mathematician or heightologist but at first blush you'd seem about the same height as your dad.
Me: 5"7 Dad 5"7 Mum 5"5
5ft 4.75 inches for me.
5ft 11 inches for my dad.
5ft 2 for my mum.

I'm the second tallest girl on my mum's side. And everyone hates my dad's side. So. :biggrin:

See, this is why I'm somewhat confused. It often seems like the height of your parents has little to do with how tall you'll be, and is more (probably?) more to do with the height of your grandparents or further ancestors.

@Bethy11 - that's quite interesting. I don't know many girls who are as tall as their dad (when they're dad is 5'10+). Are any of your grandparents tall?

I'm 6'1", my dad is about 6', and not sure about my mum (she is 5' something). I'm the eldest of my siblings; my younger brother by 5 years is about 6'2" now.
Me : 5'5 and half
Dad : 5'5
Mum : 5'9
Thirteen year old sister : 5'6 and half

Mum : 5ft 5 ~

Dad : not sure. looks about 5ft 9 in pictures.

Probably wont be growing anymore. (21 atm)

Although my sister grew four inches between seventeen and eighteen before ending up at 5ft 11. I'm seventeen at the moment so you never know!
