Worried for my Flatmate

Hey guys!

Ill get straight into it. My flatmate works at a pub (Spoons), and recently shes moved to one closer to our flat.
They've been giving her crazy hours -avr. 40 hours a week. Which is freaking ridiculous considering shes at uni. She says she's tried to complain but they keep giving them to her.
Anyway, recently shes been going through a weird stage, been with loads of guys etc which isn't like her say this time last year.
Shes going out after work every night and ending up at a casino til around 6am approx.
Shes starting to miss classes and stuff, plus she owns a rabbit which barely gets out/fed.
Worst thing is if we try to talk to her she rebuffs us - she doesn't like advice taking.

Help, anyone?

Thanks for reading! Meg x
Sounds like she hated it but has now found a clique and is on a downward spiral of pointlessness. Not that she's doing anything bad, but she's starting to think her lifestyle is the be all and end all, just because she's adapted to it socially. Her loss. If you talk to her about it she'll be quite offended I reckon. Just give her a few years...

40 hours a week is simply ridiculous, if she explains that she's at university and simply can't continue doing so much work then they will have to change her hours (else I suggest she quits as what is the point doing a degree if you're not going to spend the time to go to lectures and study properly).

She's been with lots of guys, is continuously going out after work till the early hours, and is missing lectures ? This sounds like what someone does when they are stressed, but the problem is that when someone is stressed (myself included) they don't want others to interfere or tell them what to do, they just want to get things done on their own. You should try to find out what is troubling her (by casually dropping some probing questions into conversation ), and be the most diplomatic and helpful friend you can (suggest she stays at home and watches a film instead of going out, gently encourage her to lower work hours etc), but if she's on a downward spiral then get your flat mates together and be firm with her that she should calm down a bit.

It could just be that she's gotten carried away with the all too common teen lifestyle of 'work to get money, go out and spend money', only you can judge how serious this is, sorry I can't help more - best of luck

Sounds like she's stressed out - the idea of having to say no to them is not something she wants to do but then she doesn't know how to tell them this and make them listen.
The casino thing sounds bad too cause not only is she missing lectures cause of her job but now cause of her own actions too!
I know she may not want to talk to you but is there someone in uni that maybe she could talk to if she feels that she is under too much pressure here?
