From the unlimited riches of green energy and North Sea oil, of course!

Till the EU kills off the industry with regulation and fines!*

* the EU wants to fine London for breaching pollution levels- this is an outrage!! We should have an EU referendum before a Scottish one if you ask me!

Loooool if I was Scottish I'd day No!

It's interesting how 16-17 year olds will vote in one of the most important constitutional change for over 200 years!

Anyhow 100% of the UK will be effected by this vote but only 8% get a say!? UK democracy at its finest!

It's an odd one with 16 to 17 year olds. They've had a recent poll saying 54% would vote for it.

However a poll a couple of months ago had it down at 24%

You'll probably find that most won't vote.
They had an interview a couple of months ago interviewing a Yes and a NO 16 year old. I was quite dissapointed with the vile comments being posted about the 16 year old girl who said no.

This seems like an extremely stupid idea.

Scotland don't seem to get ANYTHING positive from this apart from a bit of wonderful 'extra' sovereignty...

And to think they finally defeated/got free from the English!

I just hope you guys realise that 70% of the population up here doesn't actually transfer it's rivalry from the Football or the Rugby into the real world.

A bad thing is they are so easily influenced and not as knowledgeable as older people to be honest. That's true under-25s generally have the lowest voter turn out.

Sounds like that girl had sense beyond her years!

We get to defeat the English Colonialist Bastards and reclaim the memory of Bruce!

I know but Alex Salmond sounds really Anglo-phobic sometimes.

And see Rhadamanthus post above!

She did come across as quite mature, not just repeating rhetoric.

It worries me about the SNP's changes to the Scottish Curriculum. Combine that with free University education and it's almost as if theyre trying to isolate Scottish youth from the outside world.

Hopefully a Scottish Margaret Thatcher will rise up and revive the Scottish Conservative Party and kick out the socialist Salmond before he turns into a neo-Stalin

He plays a clever game though and never says it. You just need to read thecomments on the Scotsman website to see how his supporters think though.

Vote No - Traitor, Quisling etc.
The English - Colonisers, Redcoats, Butchers Apron etc etc.

You need to have a chat with these guys. They're seriously on another level. They seem to be fully supporterd by those kids that decided not to leave home and go off to University, but stay at home and still hang outsode the school gates holding onto the past.

Salmonds no Stalin. He's playing the Socialist card at the moment to get votes. i.e. buy them.

His long term strategy makes Thatcher seem like Micheal Foot.

Are you voting? If so, what are you voting for?

I'm voting No. I'm very happy with what we have at the moment. Although I did also vote against devolution as I feel that the world needs less Parliaments and less politicians. It was a huge cost, for no real benefits. It's just benefitted Politicians

Really? joining the EU would have been like treason to Mrs.T!
If that happens it would be funny if Scotland asked to unite with England again!

And I meant Stalinist in terms of big/powerful state that deceives its population if necessary to get its way

Now I see where you're coming from. Yes things are getting very centralised up here. One Police Force, One Ambulance Service, One Fire Brigade. Moves to intoduce controls over a free media.

Yes. I see where you're coming from.

Funnily enough, a lot of the complaints being targetted against London getting all of the benefits is starting to be levelled at Edinburgh now.

I agree with you totally! The building of the demi-parliaments came in way over budget

That lot couldn't riot. They can't even hold a decent rally in the gardens without padding it out with every pressure group known to man from CND to LGBT.

They are however masters at getting on the internet and giving the impression that their numbers are higher than they really are.

and the Levenson inquiry is especially worrying- government regulation of the free press could be on the horizon. How would the scandals ever come to light (i.e the expenses scandal). Plus remember the SNP's cash for policies scandal as well...
and with the EU things become even less accountable/democratic..

I was thinking of the hoodrats who turned Glasgow into the murder capital of Europe!

I'malso a huge believer in fareness. Is it fare that Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland get devolved governments? I'm not advocating an English Parliament as I think that would be a nightmare, but it should have gone down to regional assemblies. NE, NW, Midlands, SE, SW and London. However, if Holyrood is anything to go like that would be.

6 x £414 Million (Building Costs)
6 x £72 Million (Annual Running Costs)
= £2916 Million.
