Esperanto is a language that was supposed to be made out of all the languages in the world with bits and pieces from all of them, so that everybody could speak the same language (apart from their native one). A bit like 'globish' but even better because it would be made out of all the languages. However it never really picked up and didn't become very popular. Personally I think the idea was brilliant!

But it only really worked for speakers of European languages. It's no more similar to Mandarin than English.

I can speak Lithuanian fluently (=my native language), English is quite reasonable, I can poorly speak Russian and French  I'd like to be able to speak at least at Intermediate level in Russian, French for the moment  In future might consider learning German and Spanish

Ahahaha, de nada! Y yo opino que si es dificil, y a veces puede ser que este muy exigente en cuanto al trabajo que se tiene que hacer, pero me parece que tienes un nivel de espanol que es fantastico, y si lo quieres estudiar entonces definitivamente, lo deberias hacer! Obviamente con tal que trabajas muy duro, no creo que tengas una problema!

The first 3 symbols is 1 word, and the next symbol is a particle and the last 2 is another word.

It says I'm studying in the library, In case you were wondering .

It's like something that assigns a grammatical function, so we know what each part of the sentence is doing.
