Wow, another fellow American?! We should definitely have an American club when we get there

Hey hey hey fellow ESPSers (:

I got an offer for ESPS in December and then and offer for International Politics at KCL. To be quite honest I'm torn between the two to the point that I feel like I have two personalities. Could you guys put share the most appealing aspects of the course for you? But also, the advantage UCL has over KCL in more general terms?

Thanks in advance for your help, and see you in September maybe (:

1. ESPS
2. I have met the conditions of my offer already
3. My insurance would be KCL, but that should be irrelevant if I firm UCL
4. See 2. (;
5. I have never lived in London and it will be a strange feeling to come live in Europe, but its exciting too. Can't wait to embrace all the opportunities available in Europe's biggest city (:

ESPSers? Brilliant, I've been looking for other people in the program, hello!

I just got my offer for ESPS a week or two ago, and I'm still waiting on Kings. I'm afraid I can't be much of a help in deciding though, as I am in the same sort of situation.

1. ESPS (Specialization in International Relations)
2. Graduating from my current program while maintaining my grades
3. I have yet to decide. I still have to hear back from KCL, Bath, and Kent, though I also have an offer from Royal Holloway which looks like a pretty nice school, if not quite as good as UCL. But as my conditions were fairly lax I don't think I will have a problem fulfilling them.
4. Yes
5. Nope. And I've only visited once. To be honest I don't know a single person on the European Continent. Yet I'm still extraordinarily excited.

Go for UCL
It's got a better international reputation, and ESPS offers a lot more freedom with the course if you even want to switch things around.
Also, you get a year abroad which is pretty much a dream.
I've done a lot of research and talked to many people about this, so PM me if you want to know more

5. Nope, and I've never lived in the UK before either. However, I've been to London enough times to know that I hate the underground and love the parks. It is going to be wonderful to live in a city with endless opportunities for discovery!

Sooo It looks like I'll be firming ESPS. Its got more of a spark than what KCL has to offer (:

I'm European but I've only lived in Europe for a total of three years in my life... (:

For ESPS, what languages/specialisations are you guys planning on studying? I'm thinking of German, with History and Political Science (Comparative Politics)... but I'm so tempted to take courses in all the different departments (:
