I'd rather not say, but it's enough to make a decent living. I am far from being a millionaire and being a professional gambler isn't as glamorous as you might think.

Well, that's not true, it is for some folk, but not me.

You have guys like Harry Findlay and Patrick Veitch who make millions, but I make what would be classed as a good salary, especially when you take into account no tax.

Maybe one day...

LOL, what do people say, when you tell them that you are a professional gambler?

Buying a girl expensive gifts to keep on to her kind of indicates shortcomings in other places dude, but thats not for me to say, its more important to have a connection, money is not the right way to generate a "classy good looking girl". I can say that, because I have a girl like that, and I come from a good family I would say, money isnt an issue, but we dont need money to be "creative". Think im going off on a little tangent here, but the point is, dont use money to get a girl. Thats not the way. Goldigger alert.

I just wanted the conquest,lol....:colondollar:

Without being rude I just wanted her to be part of my Rotation/Bullpen....if you understand where I am coming from...

They tend to dismiss me as an idiot and say things like "the bookies always win" or ask "but how much have you lost?".

It's annoying so I normally don't tell people what I do. I also don't like the term "professional gambler," but that's just me.

I got done yesterday in OT by LA Clippers.

I wish we could write off some of our bad losses with HMRC,lol.....intentional fouls with 2 seconds to go when you have lost the game by 10 points....at one point I thought it was point shaving, that was one scenario.

I agree, we are just opportunists , otherwise known as capitalists.

ive always wanted to bet on the horses, but i know nothing about it, how did you get into it?

Shouldnt cost you a lot of money mate.

If you are paying 100+ on a girl regularly, screw that and get an escort...not that I have been with one, but just saying that it's no different.

I find with gambling, I go through good runs, then bad runs, then good runs, then bad runs.

Do you go through that too?

Been there done pornstars..... and escorts etc.....theres no fun in it.... AW, LA Direct Models there overrated..... went through that phase years ago... completely different GFE..... if your on facebook etc pm me add me....if going to Laufhaus in Germany etc entertain you so be it. Talking about other countries we are so lucky here the taxation we pay on bets. I go to Germany regularly, fair enough there relatively liberal in the places you can bet etc....but the amount of tax you pay is ridiculous - shops are nice though. Im like anyone else, I love new challenges, once you have accomplished something why go back to doing it again....its rather repetitive.

I read a book called "Bringing Down the House" when I was a teenager and became obsessed with gaining an advantage over "the house" (bookies in my case).

If you search the internet you can find some decent tipsters. There's a lot of rubbish out there, however, so you need to be careful. You could start by reading forums on sites like OLBG and Punters Lounge. There is no point on betting on horses unless you are interested in it and want to learn how bookmakers set their prices.

We will get bad runs with basketball, we are actually in theory no different to a basketball team itself,lol... if you look at it in that way.

It took me one and half weeks to make it....I got my first thrill in the making and if you want to generate "a classy good looking girl".....and close her you have to be creative.....

Im sure Im speaking for others as well if 2/3 bets at 10/11 come in, to go out and buy a Gucci Iphone case from the Gucci store (its £100), you dont really feel it.....You can just call it an expensive £20 lunch.

Then you are simply chasing the vagina!

One more question, what makes you so special?

Why can't a guy with a million pounds come along and buy your date a diamond ring and then let her ride him all night long?

Sad truth is that most girls who require "closing" through such expensive gifts aren't actually any decent apart from a decent shag. You'll figure it out eventually, possibly by the time you hit variance right in the face and disappear from this thread after some bad luck. BUT, I DO GIVE YOU KUDOS IF YOU ACTUALLY BEAT THE BOOKIES!!!! I REALLY DO! JUST NOT CONVINCED YOU SOUND LIKE A WINNER TBH. Gucci this and hot date that.... who cares? Does your gambling support a family and pay the rent? Nah, you just pretend to be a baller, one of these guys who makes 400k+ on gambling (ie poker) every year and get nice pads in nice places and party every weekend on £500 bottles of wine. Yea, those guys are the ballers

Of course, I have losing days all the time and have had some horrendous losing runs.

Obviously you need to be making the right bets, but you also need to make sure you have a big enough bank and a solid staking plan so that you can take the rough with the smooth.

Betting is just a case of simple mathematics to me - if I'm betting on things at a bigger price than they should be, then I'm going to win.

If we played a game where I had 3 cups and 1 of the cups had a ball under them, what would you expect the odds to be on you guessing the right cup? Obviously the odds should be 3/1, so imagine someone offered 4/1. You won't win every time, but in the long run you will win and would be a fool not to take 4/1.

That's effectively what I see myself as doing.

ROFL, I don't have anything to prove, can always stick up my slips every night but its just be pointless to everyone reading them......Forget buying anyone else anything Ive seen a nice Holland Cooper Coat, that will go well for work ... If you dress well and go into a bookies in the city, there going to less suspicious of think you are a Barry Conway type guesser, don't you think?

What's your story with betting? Were you the guy who posted about statistical significance?
Original post by Warlord
Most, not all. Lots of fish in the sea, just got to keep swimming until you catch a special one.

You know I see a lot of parallels with women and betting.

Bet on 15 matches, might lose 14, but win big on one.

Similarly approach 15 girls, 14 of them tell you to piss off, except the one.

It's ****ing hilarious tbh.

Im happy if I can take £20,000 - £25,000 a year....thats my expectations... I was happy with close to £16,000 last year.

I would never play poker for money other than just for fun online $10/20 once in a while. Just doesn't appeal to me....Im a member of Chinawhite, I pay £400 a year for, member of Roof Gardens,lol.....thats another point you can make money off the membership you can bring 3 guests in with you, just charge your friends, you skip the queue........

I went to Collingham, baller places,lol... I blame these stupid places for my lack of discipline academically. Enough said, of course i go to decent places its right next door to the Boltons....(might help if you used a map).

Yeah, I play the same way, I win big, and I find that when I feel a losing streak is on, I basically lessen my stakes, until things pick up again and I am on a run.

As much as the bookies win, they do get lucky sometimes - case in point: 10 man norway scoring a goal against holland with 1 SOT.
