LLB at UCL, or BA at Cambridge?

Is the BA at Cambridge recognised by the Law society as a qualifying Law degree, or does it still require a Law conversion course?

You're fine. All Cambridge undergraduate degrees are BAs, as you don't actually get a degree in a specific subject. Your diploma just says "BA Cambridge" - your subjects are the Tripos exams you take (in this case Law).

Good luck at Cambridge, it's a fantastic institution, with a beautiful Law building.

Interviews, submitted essays, and the Cambridge Law Test (excluding a couple of colleges). There are a couple of different versions of the CLT -- an essay question one, a problem question one, and a comprehension one iirc -- but all require you to sit down and read something and write for an hour. You'll probably be given something to read before one of your interviews, and will be asked to discuss it.

Or if you prefer, is still possible, just, to get a BSc which is a qualifying law degree.
