Isnt it wave diffraction thats in the exam? Like diffraction of light waves

But there's diffraction of electrons too, I'm sure? I think..

Right, I'm going to look it up in the spec.

Had a look just now, the word electron isn't mentioned anywhere

Now, I'm very confused haha
o.O

I thought there was wave diffraction, and particle diffraction.
And particle diffraction is electron diffraction? No?
And wavefronts occur with wave diffraction only?

Erm, here's my (very) poor attempt at answering your questions;

Yes, I think
Haven't the foggiest.. Lol :colondollar:
I think that's correct

Done! .. Boy am I bad at waves..

Haha! No, it's not waves :P It's in the particle physics chapters!
Sorry to confuse you all!

Hmm really? I just had a look, and it did o.O

That's odd..

Oh thank god, you had me worried!!

Although I give credit to myself for remembering it from somewhere

I cant seem to see it, but there is a theme of light i can see

Have you finished the syllabus yet?

I meant in the Particle Physics chapters, not waves...! Sorry about that.

"Candidates should know that electron diffraction suggests the wave nature of particles and the photoelectric effect suggests the particle nature of electromagnetic waves; details of particular methods of particle diffracton are not expected"

So that answers my question I guess (:

Yes, I managed to finish the syllabus a long time ago. Well strictly speaking, I finished materials and waves a long time ago and the mechanics knowledge was already present from M1. I guess you could say I did it a bit too early, 'cause I've forgotten half of it and have to go over it again.

What about yourself, are you all done or are there bits and pieces left over?

Oh! That's unit 1

Oh that's good

We completed the syllabus just before half term.
But like you said, I've forgotten all the stuff that we did back in September, woops.

Yep, I have a tendency to confuse people, sorry :L
Thanks for these

Ah yes, the human mind - a fickle sieve at the best of time!

Honestly, I hate myself for forgetting all of the stuff from before. Now precious time will be wasted going over things I should already know.

Panic mode activated

I know  And just 5 weeks to cram it all in.

Five weeks?! I could have sworn we have more time than that?!

EDIT: Hehe you tried to confuse me, right. Please say you did. Please?
