How far would you get on £70 petrol in a 13 yr old car at fuel 142.2?

I have got a 7yr old car which is a 2.0l diesel and at the current rate costs about £70 to fill up, will do in excess if 520miles on the motorway at about 49mpg but this will be considerablly lower when driving in the city, traffic etc

250-280 miles if i'm lucky probably. 2.8 straight six, 1997 with 136k miles. It'll do around 25mpg. The question is too broad though, a 13 year old 1.3 will eat much less than a 13 year old Mitsubishi Evo turbo for instance.

400-450 miles on my 1 years old 1.2l Micra, depending on what road conditions. If its dual carriage ways and motorways, I could get about 45-50MPG. If its urban driving, then probably about 35MPG.

Edit: you need to let us know what engine size you running and what fuel you're sipping, and road conditions. As others have noted, question is too broad.

Depends. If you want to fill up a Smart car with £70 of petrol it'd probably go quite far. If you tried to fill up a Range Rover with £70 of petrol I imagine you wouldn't go very far at all.

Totally depends on what car it is, and what sort of driving you do!

My BMW 328i costs around £80 to fill up, and that will get me 400 - 450 miles depending on how hard I push the car. I would expect £70 worth at that price to get me around 350 miles with normal A road driving.

If I am doing a lot of town driving, or pushing the car harder that will drop to around 300 miles or so.

Well my dad topped up my car last time. 1.2l corsa and a full tank costs £50 according to him. Anyway, since he's topped it up I've done about 200+ miles and it's halfway. I don't do a lot of motorway driving but I do a fair amount.

I have a 13 year old 1.8 Toyota Celica and given that £70 at 142.2 is just short of 50 litres and my tank is 55 litres. If I chose a cheaper garage I would be able to fill it.

From a full tank I get something in the region 350-400 miles from a tank dependant on how it's driven of course

Filled up 1.4 Corsa, £62, went 240 miles. Very heavy footed too.

But JC said 130 miles, so you can clealry see it depends on the car

£45 gets me 320 miles... So just under 500 miles for £70. That's for a 2012 polo.

I have had my Fiat Seicento sporting since new 13 years ago. Fuel consumption seems to have gone down to 44 mpg now (was 48) so I would expect about 475 miles on £70. Probably as I am only doing short journeys at the moment
It will have a new MOT tomorrow, when a tyre is fitted. Very little has gone wrong in 88,000 miles. I want to take it to over 100k before it retires.
