But i asked my cousin and she said during the foundation (2) years u get paid and if u want to specialize it depends on what you want to specialize. Also how much do you get paid ?
You get paid as soon as you leave university when you're classed as a junior doctor.

Your foundation years involve working rotations and doing exams at the same time. An F1 doctor earns £22000+ per year. But if you're only interested in money, you shouldn't study medicine... lots of training before that.

yep as the above ^^

please please please, dont do medicine for the money. if you want money, do a maths degree or something.
In year 10 I was so naive, DO EVERYTHING you can to check mediicne is for you. Make a list of all the negatives. its a big commitment
time flies too, it was yesterday I was in your position and hopefully I'll be at uni in Sept. Dont waste the time

yes  its same thing really
medical schools are set up specifically for medicine with other course too whereas university at medicine is a part of the uni
i.e st georges med school, HYMS (although its part of york and hull)
no difference really as med schools are based at a Uni

What A levels did you study in college/sixthform
I did biology, chemistry, maths, physics and general studies to AS and then dropped physics and general studies at A2. General studies is not counted by the majority of medical schools.

So 5/6 years at medical school/university.

2 years working as a Foundation doctor ... you're thinking about specializing at this point.
After foundation years you're working to specialise to become a GP or consultant. To become a GP, you spend about 4 years specialising.
