Why do they have -e^4(x+4) ? Surely its -e^4(x). I mean it has to be of the form f '(a)x , as the below formula indicates:

There are different forms of the Taylor expansion that's all - the most general is written in terms of powers of (x+a) (or (x-a) in some texts).

The question indicates in powers of (x+4)(x + 4) so x(x+4)x \rightarrow (x + 4).

The question says "find the Taylor series in powers of x+4". Therefore the terms in your series involve x+4, (x+4)^2, etc.
