goo with endsleigh pay 1.500 for 1.0 corsa with 2 years driving experience and no ncb

I'd be happy paying that for a Corsa to be fair. Tbh though I think I'd be getting charged less than that by Tesco despite never having any insurance before, so glad they've started quoting me again...

Ah I see. I used to straighten my hair as well haha, my mates used to proper banter me about it but my GF at the time used to love it.
Yeah could do, if it takes a month to get myself a car I'll be a bit annoyed to say the least haha, but having that extra month could shave a feq quid off my premium maybe.

Yeah could go look at it myself first, I suppose the thing that puts me off is having to pay for my own travel to get there mainly.
Pretty damn good christmas pressie that  I passed my theory just before christmas actually, certainly helped me enjoy my christmas holiday knowing I'd gotten that out of the way.
Yeah true, just really wanna get on the road now. When I failed my first test I had nearly a 2 week gap between that and my next practice lesson, drove brilliantly in that lesson because I just felt so glad about getting back in the car again. Then on the second test day I drove pretty badly lol. Should have taken my instructors advice and not bothered with any warmup lessons before the test day. I did take that advice for the next test day though, jumped into test day without driving for just over 2 weeks and ended up pulling out my best driving from the moment I got in the car to the moment I finished my test. Still happy about that one minor, but if the examiner had given me a wider road for my reverse parallel park that could very well have been 0 minors. Might have done a little tear if that had happened

I actually know a few boys who used to straighten their hair, now sure if any of them have the hair to do it anymore. But yeah you obviously can't insure a car you haven't got yet so if it does give we a little bit off then at least theres a positive out of waiting so long

and ah well you'll be fine then, probably better that ever  I was usually terrible if i took a gap, i only really missed 1 week and he was changing cars, so being in a new car didn't help too much either. My first lesson in the dark was my lesson the night before my test, that was awful, because i never realised how little I'd be able to see >.< but i did an hour before the next day and then test and i guess it went well, suppose everyone's different, won't be long and you'll be on the roads again

Same thing for me haha, longish back and sides aren't in at all anymore.
Yeah just hopefully these delays are making some sort of difference haha, just a waste of time if not.
I know what will make me better at driving; in my lessons, if I was to do something like forget to signal or mirror check, my instructor would prompt me about it immediately. I'd all of a sudden start thinking about it, so then forget to do something else which he'd prompt me on and I'd just have 5 or 10 seconds where I'd just spaz out and make more mistakes in that short space of time than I did the whole lesson and I'd feel like an idiot. Without anyone prompting me, I'd just not notice the minor mistake until after I'd driven away and cleared my mind then think "crap, I should have signalled there". That said, I didn't get a single mirror and signal fault on any of my 3 tests, so maybe he was some sort of bad influence on me haha. Like I said before, having him there with his duals made me get a bit lax for some reason.
I've actually not driven in the dark at all yet. Be interesting to see how I do once I'm driving again.

The good old day ey haha

And i think it should make some difference at least, suppose you can only wait and see, and hope (:

And yeah i think without an instructor there i think i learned to do things more naturally, whilst on my lessons i was thinking, like there a junction over there, then I'd start thinking about signals, whereas now i don't do much thinking it just happens, i mean it did usually just come to me when on lessons but it seems more natural now.

My instructor was once prompting me on looking in my left mirrors when going past a parked car, i was concentrating so much on what he was saying and looking in that mirror that i didn't realise the car in front of me had stopped, he had to use his duals that time, definitely made me more cautious next time haha,

Good old days indeed, do miss em a bit... Ah well, new lifestyle once I get my car aye
I think towards the end of my lessons I never bothered thinking "MSPSL" like I was taught, just sort of did the thing I'd gotten drummed into my brain after 100s of times doing it so didn't really have to think about it.

Haha, something similar happened to me once actually. At first I just didn't grasp the concept of "you only need to check your right at a roundabout", was just worried about pulling out on a mini-roundabout and hitting someone in front of me where I wasn't looking. But in the end I sort of figured out, by the time I'd pulled out and reached where they were, they would have moved from there by then. Nobody else should pull out while I'm on the roundabout, but if they did I'd have time to react since I'd be looking forward as soon as I started moving. Anyways, I was so busy checking over to my right whilst approaching a really open roundabout, that I somehow forget there was a queue of traffic in front. My instructor started making this funny noise like squeeking brakes, which made me look forward and get the brakes on to stop me from rear-ending a car in front haha. A second later and he would have had to use his duals.

Hoping I haven't missed another car... spotted a Ford KA with a good amount of MOT & tax (not the coolest car for a lad to drive I know, but yeah) about an hour ago near where I live. The place shuts at 4 so I was hoping we could get up there in time, I've text my uncle but no response yet, no chance of getting up there now. Hopefully we can get up there after he's finished work tomorrow and still find it there.

I miss those days too ): but yeah all new when you get your car : D I just can't wait till summer, when i can get out and do some exploring haha

Yeah well i think now im glad i made that mistake, luckily obviously my instructor was there to ensure it was nothing but a shock, but it made me extra careful, i used to hate roundabouts :') I also remember my first ever junction where they were actually cars coming along, i was turning left and so obviously looking right to see if they were any cars, there wasn't so i pulled out but i kept looking right haha i ended up all over the place, so we went back round a bit id again, it took me a few times round to stop focusing on the right after i had pulled out haha.

Well that looks hopeful  I would imagine it'll be available for a little while at least, I've see a few boys driving kA's. A car's a car at the end of the day, well especially your first car i didn't really like the color of my car at the start but now i actually do aha

Ah tell me about it, can't wait! Definite beach days coming up...

That's the exact way I like to handle it, just learn from your mistakes. The first time I did roundabouts I used to wonder if I'd ever grasp them haha, obviously did eventually. There's this huge 5 exit, 3 lane monstrosity that's in all the test routes in my area, so we absolutely rinsed that until I'd mastered it. That roundabout was so scary that after getting used to it, all the other normal roundabouts weren't intimidating any more.

Yeah I wouldn't be at all fussed about driving it tbh. Hopefully I get some luck with this one.
Was round my mate's earlier playing a fun game on supercasino. You start with 500 quid and I ended up with over 10k haha. If only that were real money... Must admit, I was on such a roll that I was tempted to start playing for reals and gamble my car fund, but I had to refrain. Would obviously be amazing if I could double my money, but losing the money would be disastrous haha.

That's a bit strange, not sure if it's normal :/

I do know that insurance quotes can change quite suddenly though, i was (just out of interest) checking insurance quotes as if i wanted to insure my car now after having my license that few months longer than i did when i bought mine. My insurance company Im with now wouldn't insure me lol, and when i was changing cars too i checked out the price it would be for a new policy with my insurance company it was £5000, within a week it went down to £3700 and then back up to £5000 soon after.

It's almost like they make the prices up as they go along and in paying you are inflating an imaginary economic bubble!
i used to do same, was so confused, once i put details in and i got a quote for £1800 and exactly 10 mins later i put exact same details in and it went up to £2200  but i went to see a insurance guy and cheapest i got was £1300 which was a great deal for me, and took it

That's good news  Was it an insurance broker do you mean? I've been contemplating going to see one as well, was in a cab last week and talking to the driver about looking about for my first car, he mentioned something about going to an insurance broker but I was too drunk to take it all in tbh lol. How does it all work, are there fees or anything you have to pay?

yes it was a insurance broker, and no no extra fees are used, just he gets u the quote and cheapest he can find, i don't know how he does it properly cos my uncle was the one that went to see him lol.

I can't wait for beach days : D and summer days in general

And yeah i think the best way to learn is from your mistakes, and omg i hate 5 lane roundabouts, we have one, it's not on the test route however which is good, but yeah i don't like it. I haven't been up there yet actually driving but my hairdressers is over that way so i'll have to tackle it soon haha. And i found i was always a bit nervous at roundabouts, but now they don't bother me at all, im not sure what happened to that fear its weird.

If only it was real ey, always happens though doesn't win far more when it's not real money, i think you did good to keep it that way
And update on the car you seen?

Would love it to be hot & sunny every day to be fair haha.

Quite the opposite to me then. I know the roundabout inside out now since it was vital to learn it for the test, but now I've passed I doubt I'll ever need to use it. There's nothing on the other side of it I'd ever need to go to, all the motorways are in the complete opposite direction as well.
Yeah I suppose you do something enough times it just becomes simple.

Would have been lovely haha, would have got myself a nice brand new car I think.
My uncle is turning out to be unreliable tbh, been in touch with my cousin though gonna get him to help me out instead, he's been driving nearly 10 years now so should know his stuff when it comes to cars.

Yeah i really wish everyday was sunny haha, Im sure we'll get some sunny days tho

And it's still good to learn though, because if ever you come across a different roundabout with more than 4 exits you'll be prepared  and i meant 5 exits not lanes when i wrote my previous post, sorry :') The roundabouts on my test were the ones near where i used to live and the ones where i live now so it was quite good having practice on them. I think the only thing that way is my hairdressers though, and i usually book in with my mum and she prefers to drive hahah so yeah not sure when i'll get my chance on that roundabout yet but i don't mind haha.

And aw sure one day you'll be buying yourself a brand new car
Aw well at least you can get your cousin to have a look, i think between you's you'll be able to get a good car and hopefully for you, soonish too

Would be nice wouldn't it. Had some really nice weather here yesterday but it was so overcast today, the sun was trying to come out but it wasn't really happening haha.

Yeah I sorta guessed you meant exits there hehe. 5 lanes on a roundabout would be mental
Ah fair enough, well yeah if you do ever have to tackle them you'll be in the know aye

Do hope so, don't know how much more disappointment I can take lol. I've given my uncle one last text since the KA is still for sale, just asking if we can go take a look tomorrow evening before it closes. If he can't help me out then he'll be sacked as my voluntary car purchasing assistant and my cousin will be hired :awesome:

Yeah we have a bit of sun here today and yesterday, but it's really windy too ):

Haha well i had hoped you would have realised i meant exits im always making silly mistakes :') but yeah 5 lanes would be crazy i think thats why i confused it, the 5 exit roundabout near me is referred to as five lane ends. But yeah sorta in the know haha, think i'd still be a bit scared it's so big :0

Well there still a chance he'll be able to come see it then, you could be driving away in a few days
