Do it before you meet her. That way you could appreciate her for being her, than just her body. Otherwise you might come across as needy. Nothing scares girl away like desperation.

Having thought about it, I'd say don't masturbate. When you're horny, you're a lot more persuasive, sharper with words, and from my own experience, more talkative. However, if you do masturbate before seeing her, you'll have had your sexual needs dealt with so you won't be sitting there thinking 'I need to get laid, I wanna bang her'. I'd prefer to be in the horny state of mind because you can forget about sex temporarily but still have those benefits. I think anyone who got reasonably far on the NoFap challenge might agree with me. It's certainly easier to distinguish a difference in state of mind between having masturbated and not having masturbated.

I think it really depends on the girl. If its a casual fling then yeah be horny could be good long as its not too selfish. If its someone more serious then best take a longer term view than sleeping early in dates. That said nothing wrong being a lad.

Murphy's Law is anything bad that could possibly happen, will happen.

I'm not saying you have to look/act desperate because you're horny. You don't have to hump a table to show how you feel. You can still sit back and be aloof while horny. When you've got more testosterone in your system, you're more likely to take risks and do exciting stuff. You'll be less worried about going in for that kiss when the time comes.

If you're getting all the signs but you're not horny, you're probably less likely to make a move in case it fails. Going for it doesn't seem as important so you're less likely to be bothered about getting physical, which is what you wanted in the first place.
