I've lived in the south for the last 15 years of my life.

I didn't know what to say, so since I had my economics textbook open I read out a definition. I think I don't have much of an accent, but then again most people don't think they do. Where would you say I was from

Sound a tad posh but you're intentionally enunciating I'm sure. Bit of scouse in there by my estimate

Haha didn't know what to say so I thought go for a relevant sentence :P

And I like your accent it reminds me of what all my American friends thought "British" accents were.

I hate my voice whenever I hear it! Thought I might as well give this a go though

I'm sure some of you have heard of the 'Regional Dialect Meme' or 'Accent Tag'. You basically just have to read a list of words and see how everybody says them differently. Thought it could be interesting to give that a go too

The words are:
Aunt
Route
Wash
Oil
Theatre
Iron
Salmon
Caramel
Fire
Water
Sure
Data
Ruin
Crayon
Toilet
New Orleans
Pecan
Both
Again
Probably
Spitting image
Alabama
Lawyer
Coupon
Mayonnaise
Syrup
Pyjamas
Caught

I swear everyone's accent sounds so different when recorded. I guess it's because of the fact that the sound goes through your head a bit as well or something. I don't like my accent.

Actually the enunciation is not on purpose, I actually speak like that normally. Whenever I hear my voice i cringe inside. Having said that I did try not to trip over the word aggregate as I usually do. And no I'm not from Liverpool. I live in Bolton and was born in north Manchester

Hahaha thank you. Although I do think the Bolton accent can be endearing. Especially when they say buz instead of bus

I don't know the accent well enough to know if that's true. All I know is I'm glad you don't sound like Peter Kay.
http://vocaroo.com/i/s0Z9l6Bj7YE5 I don't like Morrissey ok. Cumbrian/Scottish/I don't know what the **** it is.

Edit: Also did the "accent meme" thing where you say certain words, would love to hear others too. :h: http://vocaroo.com/i/s1NcKxRSsGJ3

I saw him on the other day actually. I'm sure he exaggerates his accent. It doesn't sound half as thick in person

Totally not surprised. Accents just somehow add to the comedy. Kunal Nayar doesn't have much of an accent at all, but in The Big Bang Theory playing Raj, he lays it on thick.
