Which better...

I don't like biology at all, it's boring :colonhash:

I hate it aswell but B6 seems easy, I prefer it when it's about bacteria and ****, not organs and digestion or plants.

I wish there was a b4-6 option in Jan 2012... would of been so much better... eng lit and sociology on the same week... kill me lol... sociology is a pain in the ass I hit A* last year and was the only one in the year to do it but I don't know how I am going to do it this year... how's psychology ? this week is either live or die lol... this week revision can probably be the difference between 1 or 2 grades. I have to finish R.S. by this week! hey, what's your opinion on this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26LVLIGB4fI I laughed so hard when i watched it... the 'rice' can be related to b3 in genetic engineering hehe. Jatz

ive got 4 exams on the week of my birthday... and english lit on it...hopefully i will have luck on my side
i think i need to hit RE and psychology this year... and english language.. it seems so much easier!!

yh im planning on doing about 3 essays after school for english lit and then do a past paper in a subject and go through all the topics on that subject...

watch this:

its very inspirational

genetic engineering what???... i think your losing it!

oh.. and i got my C/A results

Bio - 47/48
Chem - 44/48
physics - 47/48

that should mean i only need high B's in Bio and physics
but only need to scrape an A in chem.... hopefully i will get that

have you done any of the specimen papers yet??

I've always wanted to learn French do you have any tips or good books to learn from. This is from scratch by the way:smile:.

Hey everyone, long time no see
I remember most of you from the threads for last year's bio, chem and phys exams for the first 3 modules.

Out of biology, chemistry and physics, I found P6 to be more difficult than the others...

Out of interest, what grade are you aiming for overall for each science?

You need at least 360 UMS to get an A* (according to last year's results)

My results (in UMS marks):
Physics- 138/140
CA- 80/100 (I think it was 80/100)
To get an A*, I can drop a maximum of 8 UMS marks in my exam.

Chemistry- 140/140
CA- 70/100
To get an A*, I can drop a maximum of 10 UMS marks in my exam.

Biology- 140/140
CA- 80/100
To get an A*- I can only drop a maximum of 20 UMS marks in my exam.

The total mark is 400 UMS; A* is 360, A is 320; B is 280 etc.

chem - 140/140
physics - 137/140
average: 139/140

C/A:
Bio - 47/48
Chem - 44/48
physics - 47/48

At college, I'll be doing Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Further Maths.

However, I think I'll miss not doing geography anymore after I finish my GCSEs since I had a brilliant teacher for the past 4 years of high school.

I doubt I'll get an A* in Physics I got 128 in the exam and around 80 in my coursework. But Bio and Chem I'm on track:biggrin:

Woah- you got full marks for Chemistry
And I, and everyone else in my year group, would've thought that achieving an A* would have been impossible (since nobody has achieved this grade in any of the science controlled assessments!)
