How come there are some people with coursework marks out of 100, amd some out of 48? Is the out of 100 the UMS? If it is please can someone tell me how to convert from raw mark to UMS? Thanks :smile:

We can't convert from Raw to UMS :smile:

So all we really have is our raw!

So when some people have said their marks from last year's exam and then coursework to work out what they need to get for a certain grade overall in this exam, they had coursework mark as out of 100 which confused me.. I think maybe it is out of 48 for me?!

It is out of 48, I think they used minimum grades and UMS :smile:

(what's your raw mark for each? I can guess a UMS)

Oh well I got 40 in Biology and 42 in Physics and last year's exams i got 140 in physics and 138 in Biology :smile: Chemistry teacher is refusing to tell us coursework marks..grrrr.

I'd say...
138+87=225 = 135/160 in bio for an A* overall

140+90=230=130/160 in physics for an A* overall

These aren't accurate but my guess

Can you give me an estimate? Bio:137+37, Phys:128+38, Chem 137+40.

Biology: 143/160
Chemistry: 137/160
Physics: 150/160

If all goes well I'll need:

139/160 for Biology
131/160 for Chemistry
125/160 for Physics

I want to aim for 150 in each one hopefully too!

Raw marks I'm expecting 45+ in each, with a 48 in chem... I need to get 48 in bio though :/

Its like in Spanish I'm confident I'll get an A* in my Reading and Listening exams but I need like 97% UMS for an A* because my Speaking and Writing are only middle A's.

My French is supposedly full raw marks! Which gives me leeway
