Random Fact:
In Bengali we don't have different words for eat and drink.

We say:
I want "to eat" water... Or maybe it's really I want "to drink" food...

Either way, a separate word doesn't exist :mmm:

btw that's similar to my language too.. we don't really have separate words for both... we say I'm going to 'eat' tea.. or something

I'd try to attempt but it wouldn't be a correct translation :tongue:

Chaa or saa... I (speak the informal Bengali) say saa but chaa is the proper version
It's good to see some sort of similarities within Asian languages, but it's a shame it's not as abundant as European languages.
Tea in Mandarin is also cha.
Mandarin and Japanese are quite similar (if you're talking about sounds).

Lunka? Don't think its a real word but we use it to mean chunk of food?

Like say there are three mouthfuls of food left we'd say "three more lunkas" or "aro teen loonka"
