8 A*'s definitely isn't anywhere near a requirement for languages. Just try to get as many A*'s as you can, but if you don't get that many, it doesn't necessarily mean that all hope is lost.

It's above the average for oxford medicine  so...

Is anyone in your class gay?

Pooling is good if you don't get a place at your college

I'm saying if the average is 7 A*s in medicine at Oxford... Then languages will be far lower (as an average)

I'm gonna be absolutely going for it in 6th form. i want to get into a competitive university. I know that unis such as Duhram, UCL, LSE, Nottingham, Bristol and Sheffield are all good but I still have priorities elsewhere...

Well, lots of courses other than Medicine and Law are competitive (and nearly all Oxbridge courses will be competitive). But I was actually saying that Medicine is a lot more competitive than languages.

Oh... I somehow read that as "the average for Oxford medicine is above that"

Really? I wouldn't have thought my grades would be equal to the average Oxford medic :colone:

Risky. Also I don't think it would be very easy for you to do such a thing.

Is it wrong that the guy in the top right made me laugh in hysterics?

No. He's very antisocial and basically never speaks unless you speak to him about LoL. Mad gamer.
