Me neither its just like theres no need

That'll be fine! I like that, it's just the whole GOING ON THE LASH WITH THE LADS TO BONE AND DISOWN, BANTSSSSSSSSS thing I don't like. I'm a girl but have mostly male friends and really hope this doesn't happen

definitely!

oh wow haha, hopefully is nothing like that then! definitely not something I would go for either (im a guy though, but I really don't go in for the whole getting stupid drunk then dancing with randomers in dingy clubs!)

an action plan sounds really good  hopefully makes things a bit less daunting for you!

that sucks, can you ask anyone how much you have to disclose maybe?

Yeah, I'm thinking if I already know where I have to be and when, there's less chance for me to make excuses not to go!

I tried starting it and on the first question it was already asking for how many days I'd had to take off work in the past two years due to sickness (don't really know how '6 months' is going to go down...) and for my GP's details in case they want to contact them so I had a bit of a panic and just closed the whole thing down. :frown: They already grilled me in person about my shaky hands (really bad akasthisia caused by Abilify that most people mistook for Parkinson's, which I don't have) which made me really uncomfortable because I was so self-conscious about it.

Ah well, I guess that's another idea down the drain. :frown:

Most likely. What an awful school! >_< Food Tech classes used to be the worst for me - the other students who sat by me used to make me anxious on purpose and pick on me so I'd mess up whatever I was cooking, then the teacher would shout at me despite knowing full well what was happening. She used to take me into a back room for "little chats" then proceed to bellow at me at full blast so the class could hear and laugh at me. I know it's really bad but I heard a few years back that she died of a heart attack and I couldn't help but feel slightly vindicated. I'm such a bad person. :s-smilie:

hated everything about the place, no idea what it does now, just glad it's not somewhere I have to be. oh no, that's awful, its awful when teachers are mean like that! don't feel bad, it's understandable not to be upset or whatever by something like that given how they treated you!

She was a total witch and my Textiles teacher was just as bad too. Pair of angry trolls they were. Hated them with a passion. They knew I was quiet and suffered with my nerves so they victimised me all the more because they could get away with it. One time I had to stay in class at lunchtime to finish my GCSE project and those two and one of the Art teachers were there having a chat and they were all bitching about me, the Art teacher said "maybe if she didn't spend so much time f***ing about in the Art corridor with her mates she might get more work done!" when yet again it was a result of those ***** I had in the class making me feel ****ty and anxious. :frown:

I'm a bit anxious about this interview - I've never volunteered before and I'm not sure what I should wear or anything/what the dress code will be. I also have to read aloud from a book of my choice as the role is reading to people. I'm thinking maybe just some black trousers and a shirt or nice top? Just to be on the safe side?

Good luck!

Just wanted to say hi and welcome to MHSS. I'm not trans myself but one of my best friends (in real life, not on here) is ftm so he's told me quite a lot about how it affects him. :hugs: I'm sorry to hear you have so much on your plate - if you feel like your doctor will judge you then maybe you could try seeing someone else at the same practice and see how you feel with them? You might feel uncomfortable telling anyone though, in which case there are a few things you could to do make it easier, like maybe bring the best friend who you've told along to support you, or try writing it down and giving them the paper, rather than saying it aloud. They should be able to refer you along to people who specialise in gender stuff and can help you more.

Hope you stick around and get lots out of posting here. The thread contains a really supportive bunch of people. :h:

I bloody will! :yep: I just need to get through this meal! Somehow....

Ohh dear, well I'm having to take out another loan it seems, thought I could manage it all without the extra one but it seems not... grrr (I hate knowing I have to pay back even more)

Hi guys, just a quick reminder of the rules.

Please note that our current policy is that any discussion of suicide or self-harm is not permitted, whether that's writing about contemplating it, or discussing methods.

We also cannot allow code words to get around the suicide/self-harm discussion ban. It is important to note that this includes anything written in spoiler tags.
The reasons for this policy are:

- We are not professionally trained to deal with serious, potentially dangerous issues like this.
- We feel that directing people to appropriate help is safer than posting on TSR about it.
- Often messages about these types of feelings end up getting replies which are at best well-intentioned but unhelpful and at worst downright malicious. We would never want someone to be made to feel worse for posting about their feelings.

There is a real risk of both triggering other users and increasing dangerous behaviour by allowing discussion of self-harm methods etc.

We do not want TSR to be seen to be a site which encourages or promotes self-harm.

If you have any questions, please post in Ask a Health & Relationships Moderator
