What grades are you guys aiming for? :smile:

I think we should start a question/answer practice thing.

Jan exams? I did my unit 1s in June last year! (self taught though so they're a bit lower than I like)

B123 = 126/140
C123 = 129/140
P123 = 137/140

Coursework to be moderated... Apparently full marks in all.

Yourself?

What?! Either you're a genius young scientist or you have a rather lenient teacher. Well done on your coursework grades! Mine range from 33 to 46 out of 48.

The exam grades are all A*s, right? Well done. :smile:

Bio = 140/140
Chem = 136/140
Phys = 138/140

Well 2 different teachers marked it :/ so I'm hoping...

Yeah, they are... :smile: thanks

Yours are great... :redface: only full UMS I've ever had in science officially was B1C1P1 :lol:

Which coursework marks are which?

You must just be a genius then. :lol:

33/48 in Chem (did it early and didn't have a chance to re-do it). :frown:
38/48 in Phys.
46/48 in Bio.

Chem was my best one I think!

What were your topics? Mine were:

Bio: Fermentation
Chem: Can't remember... I think it was thermal runaway reactions
Physics: rollercoasters

Same with Bio and Physics for me. The rollercoaster one was fun. :biggrin: Chemistry was doing neutralisation reactions with titration. It's such an awkward experiment.

Aah, maybe that's why! The titrations are like a level coursework (used a lot)

Ha, I did exactly the same controlled assessments as you! :biggrin:

Yeah my chem teacher made us do a lot of titrations in preparation for a level chemistry. That's the one topic I'm not looking forward to.

I didn't really enjoy them, since our teacher taught us what we had to do to get the highest marks (e.g. drawing a line of best fit through a line graph lol :rolleyes:) but the rollercoaster one was probably the best if I had to choose :cool:

I'm taking physics/chemistry/maths/f.maths at a level, what are you taking? :smile:
