Boy cheating in class

Hi,

there is a boy in my class who cheats all the time. In ISA's he copies people's papers and in exams he goes on his phone and looks at pictures he has taken prior to the exam to look at during the A Level exams. It is a wonder he hasn't been caught yet. But idk what to do, should I grass him up, or should I just go under the assumption that he will eventually get caught?

if it was me I would tell since cheating is wrong and it means he could get into a competitive university such as oxford cause he does well and it would mean someone else who actually did well by not cheating might not get in. But thats my view, I can't stand cheaters :/

I agree with you, but should I tell my teacher or the invigilator or some-one else because he does this all the time.

teacher or exam coordinator at school as they will deal with it if it still happens after that then go straight to an invigilator

putting his full name online seems a little premature, and invasive.

But if he is cheating, and especially to the detriment of others, then you need to do something. Raise the issue, possibly annonymously, and get the teacher(first, dont go straight to invigilator) - and then hopefully they will pay more attention, and spot the cheating.

I don't think you should make accusations against someone that you cannot prove on a public forum - you could end up in serious trouble. I recommend you delete the thread or edit the content so that the person is not named.

Well, considering you're so much of a scraff that you're willing to reveal his identity and his location on a student forum, I don't really see what's stopping you from informing your exam officer

I agree with the above, that you should not name the person.

As for extra time, in an academic setting, to get this - he 'should' have been tested, either with a full dyslexic test, or a cut down school one..

If he passed these tests, to get extra time.. then there is little you can do to disprove it, as no matter how many times you go to the school saying 'he isnt dyslexic!!!' you have no proof - yet they+he, have a test to show that he is.

leave him be, you can't do stuff like that forever he'll get caught out.
also he'd have to do a test and have a report written and some of these specialists are good at sussing people out-on work experience a teenage girl tried to claim she was depressed to get out of going to school -yeah the doc wasn't convinced.

At my school they wud have definately caught him. The invigilators watch u pretty much all the time, they'd see u look at a phone. Yes u shud tell him, its completely unfair that hes doing that.
