Here's the answer from the marking scheme
"Resistance gene has been interrupted/split/broken
up/disrupted" Unacceptable Answer: part removed/changed

I wrote "halved" lmfao I don't think that will suffice :lol:

for the gentic engineering one, was 'cuts DNA into fragments' acceptable for Endonuclease? i said ligase resealed bacterial plasmid too.

Who else did the essay on water balance? 2A I think it was.
Mine ended up being really quite short and my friends who did it said the same thing.

Also, I stupidly chose the photosynthesis essay and I definitly didn't manage to spew up 6 marks on the light dependent stage . . .

Normally you do but I didn't know how to in this one. We will probably only lose the coherence mark.

Well usually they say like give an account of the light dependent stage and carbon fixation stage and you kinda know by the 'and' that it's two separate things but there wasn't really any way to split up the blood water concentration question

Well that was a horrible paper..It started off bad for me as I forgot my seat number, did not have calculator and nearly spilt my lucozade

But the paper was in general a strange one..the essays my teacher had predicted and I am surprised to say all the ones he predicted turned up o:

Either he say the paper in Feburary or He's good at this :/

Overall the multiple choice was strange..some questions pretty standard others made me thnk, I forgot the ratios for the dihybrid cross but I had 20 mins spare at end, did the full cross and found my answer. And was it me or were there really less "A" answers for the multiple choice,

The second part was odd..the question about the cherry trees made me stop and read it again and again for about 20 mins (dont worry I am great a time management so I got it all back)

By the end of it I was so unsure how I did...it reminded me of our prelim where I thought I did alright and actually failed by 1% xD...

Anyhow lets wait and see how it goes..I pray I got a B because I picked Advanced Higher biology Next year (wanna study science in uni).
