I feel like adding to your note by saying that, as someone not applying for Maths, you should not be worried if your Maths scores aren't quite as high as those applying for Maths. (I am not saying you necessarily are, just that it's easy to look at the scores of other people on this forum and be disheartened even if you and they are going for completely different things.)

(Also, 96/96 in C1/C2 are fine scores. M1 is understandably irritating but you have the chance to resit this if you want or to prove it was a fluke with M2.)

Fair enough, thank you for that:smile:

I want to prove it with M2, don't want to resit:frown:
Thought I did well...

Wish I hadn't looked at some given answers...

I've lost like ten marks it seems if their answers are right...
Can I just ask - is it straightforward to get an A at A2 if you work on it an use examsolutions - or is there more to it than AS?

In that case it's not official, so take it with a pinch of salt.

But they had answers like:
a = -3, d = 2

And mine were:
a = -0.3125
d = 2.625

Mine worked which is why I didn't re check it :frown:
Anyone doing Core 4,3 or D1 all AQA?

Well, 298 for AS Maths is better than I had. I applied with 295 in AS Maths, 289 in AS Further and 287 in AS Physics. If you're interested specific module scores were these:

Spoiler

And no, LOTF is on a gap year - he's going to Pembroke next year though.

I have far worse than that...

13th - S3/G495 (Big final Physics exam) on the same day
18th - C4/M4 clash
21st - FP2/S4 clash
24th - FP3/M5 clash

Plus I have the three STEP exams woven in around those, with II on the 19th, I on the 25th and III on the 26th.

M5 ok kill me
Guys is the ums worked out in terms of percentage? - like is 80%, 80 ums?

No. The UMS is effectively a measure of how you performed in comparison to the other people taking the exam. On an easy exam paper, you can find that 80% UMS corresponds to as high as 92% of the raw marks available on the paper (FP1, Jan 2012, 69/75 for 80%) whereas on a difficult one, 80% UMS can be as low as 61.3% of the raw marks (M5, June 2012, 46/75 for 80%).

Ok thanks for clarifying that up but what would 90 ums typically be in raw marks for C3 /C4? (OCR not MEI)

grade boundaries for S1?

Well it varies from paper to paper depending on the difficulty and cohort but using Arsey's grade boundary excel file these are the averages: 303bf1dc6ff94a732fd1545b2e162cf0.png (assuming you're asking about Edexcel)

Probably midnight.
Does anyone have any idea how all the cashing in business works for maths and further maths? I think I did dreadfully in D1 today, but it won't matter if it goes with my core maths because its really high ums. Can anyone shed some light on that please?

Much appreciated :wink:
