Das ist eine gute Sache = Thing refers to a certain idea here.
Das ist ein gutes Ding = Thing referring to an object.

Die Lehrer und die Lehrerinnen sind total verrückt geworden. Heute morgen habe ich einen Brief bekommen. Dieser Brief sagt, dass ich den Sprachepreis bekommen werde. Ich habe nicht sogar gewusst, dass es einen Sprachenpreis gibt. Und warum mich?

Es gibt mindestens zwei andere Menschen, die diesen Preis gewinnen sollen, an Stelle von mir!

Und nun habe ich Angst. Was wird passieren, wenn ich schlechte Noten im August bekommen? Sie werden sehr enttäuscht sein!
