I have no idea what that method is but there is no division by 0.4 so it cannot be correct

Have you tried drawing a probability tree?

If you did that, I'm sure you'd find all the different routes for the sequences that you are asked about. In general, I believe that your method is getting there but perhaps you are using the wrong numbers - a tree might help you to spot your own error with both numbers and number of routes.

There's a blue bottle in my bathroom with the same start and end letters as my name that is responsible for killing millions of germs. And my creations have killed millions throughout the galaxy!
