Why would you re-sit this and not the Geog1 - GEOG1 is so much harder!

for me it was too much content, I have Geog3 exam coming up soon also along with Geog4a resit.

yeah they havent asked for a field sketch since 2011 sometime? i hope so! its an easy couple of marks!
Unit 3 is going well you? im doing plates, weather and cities

I do hope you're right! The physical is so much easier to remember than the human. for the AS how much % wise is this geog2 exam worth do you know?

Cheers! Do you know if this counts towards our A2 or do we take a second exam next year? I would ask my teacher but she isn't in school anymore haha

I'm confused as to what you mean..
AS Level consists of GEOG1 (30%) and GEOG2 (70%)
A2 Level consists of GEOG3 (70%) and GEOG4A/B (30%)

AS will contribute to your overall A Level.
GEOG4A/B will depend on which exam your centre enters you for, either 4A or 4B will be worth 30% of the A2 Level.

Does that clear things up? :smile:

EDIT: re-read what you said and no GEOG2 will not count towards your A2 level.

Ahh yes, thank you very much!!!! For some reason my class believed that this 30% counted as part of the A2 level as well and there was no GEOG4 exam, for some reason that's what we were told. Thank you for clearing it up, i'll pass the info on :P

No, it would be 15% of your overall A Level.

Look it up on the specification, it clearly says there that unit 2 makes up 15%of your overall A2

This exam has the A2 version of it as GEOG4A/B which is 30% of the A2, just like GEOG2 is 30% of the AS

The percentage weightings of Total A-Level are:

AS Modules:
GEOG1 - 35%
GEOG2 - 15%

A2 Modules:
GEOG3 - 30%
GEOG4A/B - 20%

Double the percentages to get the percentage of weighting of the as or a2 level separately. Just to settle any confusion :smile:
