Is it just the angle or is your left trap bigger than your right? Did you ever wear one of those messenger/satchel bags or something?

I have the same problem and always blamed it on having a heavy satchel type bag on one shoulder all the time...

I wore one of those for years, and still do. Think it's just the angle, though. Old picture anyway so I think any trap imbalances will have been evened out a little by now. I think my right trap is actually bigger (either that or I just have more control over it).
